Spartacus: Vengeance trailer

When I first heard of this movie, I thought, oh, it’s probably going to be something I like. Not my style/range of life, but definitely something I do like. For the most part. It was a good movie. Dramatic, but less thematic than Under the Tuscan Sun. Same sort of premise, divorced writer runs off to Italy in search of themself. I recommend watching it. I have to go read the book now.

The Great Gatsby

Baz Luhrmann is directing a new adaptation of The Great Gatsby. He’s casting Leonardo diCaprio as Jay Gatsby, Tobey McGuire as Nick Carraway, and Carrey Mulligan as Daisy Buchanan. I’m not as big of a fan of the book as David is, but I find it interesting. The casting may seem fit. I’ve only seen the film version with Paul Rudd as Nick. As much as I hated the story, it was a great book. I eager to learn a little more of the time period. And I’m excited to see how it turns out since I love Baz Luhrmann’s films.
