In a city like Vegas, it’s hard to find places of “culture & art” events. There are often many here, but it’s not the same. The closest I could ever get to my favourite artists and seeing their shows and work & such, I’d usually have to travel to CA. What we have here that helps keep the little art community we have in Vegas is an event called First Friday. It occurs every first Friday of every month throughout the year. It’s an entire district downtown of the collected community with art galleries, restaurants, bars, live entertainment and music.
Surprisingly, I had never been there while I’ve lived here. Today was my first night going, and I did enjoy it. I wouldn’t mind visiting again next month. Here are a few pictures of some interesting stuff… I didn’t get to stay long and get the details though, otherwise I’d have separate photo posts and info. There was one studio where I saw familiar artwork, some erotic minimalistic nude figures… I forgot the artist’s name but I will add more details later!
OH! And we had pudding shots :D they were delicious! I prefer them over jello! They don’t go down as quickly (as we had to eat them with spoons), but they were still very tasty!

This was a mirror!

A Clockwork Desk

Pancakes for Breakfast & Bed.

Obviously.

Pudding shots! We had mudslide, turtle cheesecake and cookies & cream!
